A MUSEUM OF SPOONS

I In August 2023, a new museum opened in the city of Davenport, USA. Its name is
The Spoon Gallery, and it has over 8,000 spoons from all over the world. Many of them are more
than 100 years old. Some are worth thousands of dollars, but there are also cheap, plastic ones.
II All these spoons belong to Cammie Pohl. She got her first spoons in 1989. That year,
5 her mother's grandmother gave her a box of beautiful old spoons. Pohl then decided to collect
more spoons. Sometimes friends gave her spoons as gifts, but she bought most of them herself.
III Most of the spoons are beautiful. Many of them have pictures of well-known buildings.
"The Spoon Gallery is very interesting," said Richard Lee, who visited the museum. "That's why
I want to go back there with my kids."
