Read the following passage carefully and answer in ENGLISH. (25 points)

Animals and Climate Change
I Climate change has negative effects not only on people but on animals and plants, too. Experts say that if there is a 2° Celsius increase in global temperatures by 2100, 18% of species* on land may become extinct**. Some animals are already extinct because of climate change. The Bramble Cay rat lived on an island of less than one square kilometer. It became extinct in 2019 because the sea flooded the area 5 where it lived. The golden toad from Costa Rica became extinct at the end of the 20th century. Because of climate change, the rainfall in Costa Rica changed, and the toad could not survive.

II Other animals are in danger. Between 2004 and 2011, 62,000 African penguins died. They depended on sardines for food, but most of the sardines disappeared from their area because of climate change. Another animal in danger is the Amazon dolphin. In 2023, lakes in the Amazon heated up to 41° 10 Celsius, hotter than a hot jacuzzi*, and as a result, 153 dolphins died. This was a loss of 10% of the dolphin population in the Amazon. If we care about animals, we must try to stop climate change.
